Summer Ballet Classes
Overview
During the summer, we provide a range of ballet classes and camps suited for different skill levels, including an intensive camp for advanced dancers, introductory courses such as Pre-Ballet and Ballet I, intermediate levels Ballet II & III, and classes tailored for adults.
Pre-Ballet, Ballet I, and Adult Ballet classes are offered from July 6, 2026 to July 30, 2026.
Before signing up for any of the classes below, you must speak to Phyllis Papa so she can make sure your skills are aligned with the appropriate class.
Youth Camp focuses on refining classical ballet techniques, prioritizing musicality, and the quality of movement, which covers the proper extension of the legs and feet, balance, and more. This camp starts on July 6 and runs through July 30, meeting from Monday to Thursday between 9:00 am and 11 am.
International Camp: (Girls must be en pointe) spans four weeks from July 6, 2026 to July 30, 2026. Classes are scheduled from Monday to Thursday, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Nutcracker Auditions are set for Saturday 8/8 from 10:30 am to 2 pm.
If selected at the Audition, you must sign up for Nutcracker Camp which will take place from August 29 to August 31, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm daily, although the schedule may vary depending on the roles assigned.
Summer Ballet I
Fundamentals of Classical Ballet
Focuses on:
- Technique
- Proper body alignment
- Terminology
- Musicality
Introduction to elementary barre and center work.
Dress Code:
Girls: Blue Leotards, Pink tights, Pink Ballet Shoes
Boys: Black Tights and Black T Shirt tucked in and Black Ballet Shoes
Summer Schedule:
Saturdays starting 7/11 and ending 7/25 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
